The cheerful dots on these fun, summery ‘Lots of Dots Socks’ are knitted using the mosaic knitting technique, which is based on slipped stitches. You knit one round in a single color while slipping stitches from the other color, then alternate the colors in the next round. This creates beautiful color patterns in your knitting. It’s a very easy way to knit colorwork, and it’s great fun too! The two-colored cuff with picot edging adds a special finishing touch to the socks. At the bottom of the sock, the little dots return as playful zigzag lines, which are also created using slipped stitches. Or, if you prefer, you can simply knit straight stripes instead—it’s entirely up to you. All in all, these are cheerful and versatile summer socks that deserve a place in your handmade sock collection. I wish you lots of happy knitting!
