Happy helical socks

These short, super-cheerful socks sit just above the ankle and are knitted using helix stripes. Helical knitting is incredibly simple, and because you knit in a continuous spiral, there is no visible jog where the stripes change. That alone is enough to make you happy!

Even more fun is experimenting with colour blocking and choosing bright, bold colors that complement and enhance one another. The playful vertical ribbed cuff, and an optional heart motif on the heel flap, make these socks even more enjoyable to knit and wear.

The pattern booklet includes an overview of the amount of yarn required for versions worked in either 2 or 4 colors. It also contains an explanation of helical knitting, 2 charts for adding either a heart or a Christmas tree motif to the heel flap (including instructions for incorporating them), and a tutorial for the Kitchener Stitch, which is used to graft the toe closed.
